Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory medication. However, like all medications, we need to be aware of any potential side effects. Research over the years has shown that using ibuprofen in chicken pox may lead to an increased risk of serious skin infection – a condition called necrotising fasciitis.
