Can I have HIV symptoms and test negative?

In practice, a negative result three months after your last exposure risk is interpreted to mean you do NOT have HIV. If you have symptoms, this is not likely to be due to HIV. If they were related to HIV you would test positive. The symptoms are related to something else – see a doctor.
